Get the client files
The launcher needs the supported ArcheAge r208022 client. It can open the client download link in your default browser.
The default client download is this MEGA folder.
Use the link in the launcher when it is available. A release build can use a different download link.
After the download, extract the client archive. Select Select game folder in the launcher. Choose the folder that contains bin32/archeage.exe.
To change a saved folder, open Settings > Client installation and select Browse.
Prepare your first session

- Select Select game folder.
- Choose the client folder that contains
bin32/archeage.exe. - On Linux, open Settings > Linux compatibility and select a Steam-installed Proton.
- On Linux, select Use Proton to save the choice.
- Use Update or Repair when the launcher asks for it.
- Wait until the launcher shows Play.
- Select Play to start the game.
The launcher guide explains each status and control.
Keep your game files after an upgrade
The current launcher uses your current ArcheAge Origins profile.
An upgrade from a version before 0.3.4 starts a new launcher profile. Sign in again, select your current client folder, and set your preferences again.
On Linux, select a Steam-installed Proton. The launcher prepares a new managed Proton prefix. Your game files remain usable, but the first client check hashes them again.
Keep the old launcher profile after that change. It contains the repair archive for future client updates.
If a later update shows Unsupported client, keep your current game folder. Contact Kegan to restore the repair archive from the old profile.
