ArcheAge player guide
Learn what the game is, how to start, and which details matter on Origins.
What is ArcheAge?
ArcheAge is an online role-playing game. You control a character in a shared world with other players.
Quests teach you the world and help your character grow. Combat uses skills from your chosen skillsets.
You can also farm, make items, explore, and trade. You do not need to learn every system at once.

What differs from retail?
Origins uses the older ArcheAge r208022 client. Advice for another ArcheAge release can describe different systems.
This client has 10 original skillsets and a level cap of 55. Origins adds borderless fullscreen and camera distance settings.
The project is in pre-release. Game content and server behavior can change.
The comparison page separates confirmed Origins details from changes that need more testing.
